Standing up for what you believe

This is something that people don't seem to want to do in this day and time because they are afraid of offending someone, but I believe it is time for us to stand up and be counted for the Lord. If you believe in Jesus then you shouldn't deny him with your actions.

This week I have had two of our youth at the church who have been in trouble in the school system. One 15 year old boy had taken his Bible to school and was told he would not be able to read that in the school (at his lunch time) because it is prohibited. Another student who is 12 years old had a religious T-shirt on and was told not to wear that back to school. The problem I have with this is that if it was any other religion and they wanted to read their writings there would be no problem. If a student wants to wear a 50 Cent T-shirt or a Tupac shirt that is okay, it is only when you wear something related to Christ that there is a problem. Our children are standing up and the parents are standing up as well. It is ashame that it has come down to this where we have allowed our school system to get into this condition. We "allow" the school system to teach Evolution as a core curriculum. It is up to us to stand up and say we are not going to stand for this! It is up to us to say this isn't right and that we will support our children when the stand up in school.

Today we really need to be praying for our children and supporting them as they make their stand. We need to make our stand too in these last days. There are people who are watching our lives to see if we will stand or not.

God Bless!
